We are no doubt all guilty on a regular basis on procrastinating when it comes to getting down and doing what is necessary for our home based business. There are no short cuts in life and in business. If you truly want success, then you will need to dig deep down and apply your knowledge and skills to getting the job done.
Look, I would prefer to spend all of my time with my family, friends, going out to movies (love watching movies), but sometimes you need to make some sacrifices if you want to have freedom later on. So what or more importantly, how do get organized.
1. Understand that you need to have some goals written out that are clearly defined on what you want to get accomplished for each day, week, month and your overall goal for the year. For instance, do you want to grow you business and revenue by 10 or 15 percent. Then you need to develop a business plan around how you will actually go about accomplishing it.
2. Are you working your business by yourself, or do you work in a team. Hey, working in a team is great, but you will need to delegate tasks and priorities.
3. What skill sets do you actually have to do a home based business? For example, do you know how to build a website, install wordpress, ftp your files up, register a domain, optimize your content and finally ranking your website on page 1 of Google.
4. The point being, is you need to be organized and go about your day and weeks in that way. If you are planning on ranking websites organically, then you will need to understand SEO and all the areas within that discipline. As well, you will need to write articles and get back links.
5. For me, I like to invest 1 to 3 hours after my day job and complete various tasks for my home business.
6. Its not easy and will take commitment on your part. Wanting the freedom comes at a price and you must be willing to invest that time to be the best. I started my journey over 4 years ago and didn't know what ftp was at the time. Today, I can build websites, use ftp, rank websites on page 1 at will.
